Q: Are you affiliated with the OFATV or any other Clubs?
A: No, the TTATV is a private members only club with no affiliations.
Q: Are your trails on public land?
A: No, TTATV trails are on privately owned land.
Q: How do I become a member of the TTATV?
A: Contact one of the executive members listed on the website, complete a questionnaire (form) and attend a club meeting. The meeting location, date and time is listed on our website. You must be approved by the club executive before being allowed to join. New members have a 6 month probation period.
Q: How much is a membership and how long is it valid for?
A: A membership costs $120 which is valid from May 1st until April 30th the following year. Membership dues are not prorated.
Q: How much is a membership if I have multiple family members who would like to join?
A: The TTATV offers a family pass which is $240, this includes four family members who all live in the same household.
Q: Do I need a drivers licence and insurance to ride the trails?
A: Yes, a valid drivers licence and valid insurance are both required. Members <16 are accepted with a family membership, however those members are not allowed to ride on or cross any roadways.
Q: If I have a membership can I lend my ATV to a friend to ride the trails?
A: No, the membership is per person not per ATV.
Q: Can I bring a passenger on the trails?
A: Yes, as long as they are not operating the ATV.
Q: Are your trails open all year?
A: Yes, weather permitting. TTATV trails close for a few weeks in the fall for hunting and during early spring break up.
Q: What are your trails like?
A: Mostly hard pack, some sand, very little mud. TTATV trails range from beginner to expert.
Q: Do you have multiple trail networks?
A: Yes, the TTATV currently operates three trail networks all within a 15 minute drive from St. Thomas.
Q: How long does each network take to ride?
A: Two of the networks take between 3-4 hours and the third takes between 2-3 hours.
Q: How many Kilometres of trail does the TTATV have?
A: Approximately 100 Kilometres.
Q: How are my membership dollars spent?
A: Insurance, trail maintenance, club BBQ's and events, maintenance equipment.
Q: Are the trails groomed or rutted?
A: The TTATV trails are in excellent condition with very little rutting. Our members operate everything from 4x4 ATV's to sport quads to side x sides. The trails are groomed and maintained regularly. The TTATV expects it's members to respect the land and not cause unnecessary damage.
Q: What does the TTATV expect of a member?
A: The TTATV expects its members to be engaged in the club. This means attending work days and monthly meetings. The TTATV is a volunteer organization and without volunteers the TTATV would not have trails.
Q: If the trails are closed how will I know?
A: The TTATV will update the website and notify every member through email.
Q: I ride a SxS will it fit on the trails?
A: Some side by sides will fit on the trails however most will not. Most of the trails will not accept anything over 50 inches.
Q: Do you have trail maps?
A: Yes, you will receive each trail map once you are a member and you have been orientated on the trails.
Q: Do you sell day passes?
A: No.
Q: Does the TTATV organize club trips to other ATV networks?
A: Yes, once a year the TTATV organizes a club trip somewhere. Funding for this trip is not provided by the TTATV. Other smaller trips are planned by members throughout the year.
Q: Are dirt bikes allowed on TTATV trails?
A: No.
Q: Are three wheelers allowed on TTATV trails?
A: No.
Q: Can I camp on the trails?
A: No.
Q: Do you allow alcohol while on the trails or at club events?
A: No, the TTATV has a zero tolerance policy on alcohol while on the trails.
Q: How do I learn the trails?
A: You must be orientated on each trail system before riding on your own. Group or individual rides are available.
